My website is all about my personal journey which resulted in the healing of Rheumatoid Inflammatory Arthritiswhich I had been suffering from for 10 years. I hope that the information found on my website may help other people suffering autoimmune diseases such as (but not limited to) RA, Crohn's Disease, 2 Diabetes, PSA,  as well as some other autoimmune diseases.

I am not a doctor, neither have I had any medical training, so what do I know about healing? Well, the answer lies in experimentation, and yours truly is the guinea pig! Everything you find on this website will be things that are already on the internet and in medical books that I have tried and tested. Some ideas are standard pain management techniques, others are controversial and some are simply outrageous! I will be reporting back on each topic and keeping you all up to date.

I have had problems with my back, knees and ankles since about 2004 when I was only 34 years old. At the time I didn’t know that the pains were the start of Rheumatoid Inflammatory Arthritis. The undiagnosed problems persisted and in 2006 I had a key-hole operation on one of my knees but I continued to have regular swelling in both knees and ankles regularly.

In December 2014 I had the familiar swelling and pain in my left ankle and I could not walk without crutches. The swelling rapidly spread to all the joints in my legs. It was ridiculous! After attending A&E my condition got worse . Eventually my wife took me to the doctors and due to the condition worsening by the hour I was admitted me to hospital.

Whilst in hospital, instead of getting better I got worse. The pain was accompanied by a high temperature and Pancreatic failure They didn't know what was wrong with me and all they could do was give me powerful pain-killers and morphine. After about 5 days in hospital, I was eventually seen by a professor who eventually diagnosed my condition as Rheumatoid Inflammatory Arthritis through blood and knee fluid tests.

Upon my release from hospital I was prescribed Methotrexate (to kill my immune system), Steroids to control swelling, Folic Acid and Calcium supplements. However, I continued to live in pain and was medication dependant without the prospect of a cure, according to the NHS.

It was March 2015 that I had only what I can describe as a revelation which lead me to believing that food and fluids were the cause of my disease! A build up to disease During childhood I was taught to overeat and food became my focus. Although I was encouraged to eat some vegetables, bad sugar and carb based foods were the make-up of many meals. I can remember being rather 'plump' at the age of nine as by body already began to react to the things that I was eating. During my later teenage years, life was just a frenzy of getting drunk at least three times a week and filling up on junk food, on top of the drink. In addition to the pressure of what my body had to deal with I also took tablets in the morning to get over my hangovers! Moving on to my adulthood, I continued my binge eating and alcoholic therapy to help me relax. However, as I gained weight from my lifestyle, I ended up in the trap of yo-yo dieting as I desperately tried to loose weight but eventually gave up. At just thirty four years old, my lifestyle finally took a toll on my gut which started to become 'leaky'. At the age of just 44 and the unhealthy weight of 17st 5lbs with my height being just 5"10 Arthritis eventually put me in hospital in December 2014.

As soon as I started to view food and water as medicine and started to make choices based on my growing knowledge, I saw an effect on my inflammation and the pain started to reduce. I now treat food and drink as medicine for my body.
