Overview: I drank alcohol from about 1987 to 2017 sometimes heavily. I even made my own wine because I liked it so much! Having joined a gym, I decided to give up drinking because I struggled to drink in moderation and it did no favours for my weight. I also believe consuming alcohol can seriously hinder weight loss! My main reason for giving up alcohol though was that drinking it increased my joint pain for even up to 3 days.
